Job Description: TGT English
As a TGT English, you will be responsible for teaching students in classes 6 to 10 (aged 11 to 15) using various effective techniques, technologies, and teaching aids. You will tailor your teaching methods to engage students according to their individual abilities and needs, following the syllabus prescribed by the school and the Council (ICSE/ISC). A deep knowledge of English grammar, language, and literature is expected. Maintaining English speaking environment inside the class room and within the campus is the first and foremost responsibility of a TGT.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
· Provide personalized instruction, including daily assessments (apart from scheduled tests) and extra classes for students requiring additional support.
· Regularly assess student progress, provide feedback, and create detailed reports to be submitted to management.
· Focus on helping weaker students by providing additional attention and guidance.
· Foster an English-speaking environment in the classroom and across the campus, encouraging students to use English in all communications.
· Actively participate in co-curricular activities, contributing to the holistic development of students.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (Master’s preferred).
· A B.Ed. degree with teaching experience in the ICSE/ISC curriculum.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students in dynamic learning.
· Commitment to maintaining an English-speaking environment inside and outside the classroom.
