About the Business Unit

Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) manages risk strategies across all markets and portfolios, aiming to minimize credit and fraud losses, while promoting business growth and delivering superior customer service.

The CFR Control Management – Risk ID, Assessment & Testing team identifies, assesses, mitigates, and reports on operational risk within Credit & Fraud Risk processes. The objective is to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies, while enhancing business resilience through risk identification and control assessment methodologies.

We are seeking an Analyst – Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting to ensure control management is integrated into the daily operations. The role requires collaboration with partners across business units, functional areas, and geographies.


Role Overview: Analyst – Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for facilitating risk assessments, supporting control monitoring, and compiling key risk reports. You will work with business units to identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.


Key Responsibilities

Risk Identification & Assessment

  • Facilitate risk assessment processes such as Process Self Risk Assessments (PRSA) and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

  • Identify operational risks within business processes and systems in collaboration with business process owners.

  • Map controls against risks and processes, including cross-BU process-control mapping.

Control Monitoring & Testing

  • Support control monitoring beyond business unit testing to track key operational risk activities and trends.

  • Conduct independent quality assurance and process testing for high-risk areas.

  • Assist in updating assessment criteria to align with regulatory and internal policy changes.

Risk Reporting & Analysis

  • Compile thematic risk reports to provide actionable insights on risk levels, emerging trends, and root causes.

  • Support New Product Governance (NPG) by identifying risks and recommending improved controls.

Process Improvement

  • Identify high-risk areas and suggest interventions based on automated alerts and risk indicators.

  • Collaborate across business units to enhance risk management practices and processes.


Critical Factors to Success

  • Accuracy & Compliance: Ensure that risk assessments and monitoring meet regulatory and internal standards.

  • Analytical Thinking: Analyze data, identify risk trends, and offer actionable solutions.

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement mitigations.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • 1-2 years of experience in Operational Risk Management (e.g., Risk, Internal Audit).

    • Understanding of risk assessment methodologies (e.g., PRSA, RCSA).

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

    • Ability to analyze large datasets and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.

    • Communication and interpersonal skills to present insights to stakeholders.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in at least one of the following areas:

    • Facilitating risk assessments and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

    • Supporting independent control monitoring and identifying areas for improvement.

    • Conducting independent quality assurance and vertical process testing.

    • Creating process flows using tools like Microsoft Visio or Alteryx.

  • Certifications: Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or risk management certifications are a plus.
