Role Overview
This role is part of the GSG Advanced Analytics team under the GSG MIS Centre of Excellence (COE). As a Data Science Analyst, you’ll support the design and implementation of machine learning models and NLP solutions to drive process improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Problem Solving & Business Understanding:
-
Translate business problems into structured ML roadmaps and models.
-
Apply research-driven approaches to create impactful solutions.
-

Algorithm Development & Testing:
-
Build and rigorously test machine learning models and NLP frameworks.
-
Deliver working solutions that outperform existing processes.
-

Coding & Model Deployment:
-
Write and debug code using Python (with libraries like pandas, numpy, nltk, spacy, etc.).
-
Apply performance testing and validation frameworks to evaluate models.
-
-
NLP & Deep Learning:
-
Deploy NLP techniques on varied text datasets using LSTMs, Transformers, or CNNs.
-
Leverage large-scale data to derive insights and build scalable ML pipelines.
-

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to shared analytics goals.
-
Minimum Qualifications
-
Experience: 0–3 years in a Data Science or Machine Learning role
-
Technical Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of Python and libraries such as
pandas,numpy,nltk,spacy,transformers,gensim,statsmodels,pyspark -
Proven experience with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, recommenders, deep learning)

Hands-on experience with SQL
-
Strong data wrangling, visualization, and analytical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with:
-
Transformers, LSTMs, CNNs
-
Fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs)

TensorFlow or PyTorch
-

Strong foundation in:

Mathematics and Statistics (e.g., Linear Algebra, Bayesian Statistics, Group Theory)

First-principles problem solving and model interpretability
