As a Business Analyst within the TLS (Travel & Lifestyle Services) Backoffice function, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and business decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, analyze complex data sets, manage vendor interactions, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
Operational & SLT Reporting:
Serve as an SME for data-related activities across the TLS Backoffice.
Design, develop, and maintain reporting dashboards and MIS tools for senior leadership.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement:
Conduct deep-dive data analysis using big data platforms (CS, Lumi, etc.).
Apply analytics to identify payment mismatches, performance gaps, and recommend improvements.
Vendor & Commission Management:
Manage the end-to-end process for lodging commission payments from 3rd-party vendors.
Review and validate vendor booking/payment data across global markets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with business teams to translate data insights into business strategies.
Provide data support and respond to queries from leadership and global stakeholders.
Project & Communication Management:
Lead ad-hoc analytical projects and prepare strategic presentations.
Collaborate with internal teams to communicate key findings and insights.
Innovation & Automation:
Explore and build new ODLs for missing metrics.
Recommend and implement data-driven solutions to enhance operational performance.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in SQL, VBA, Power BI, Tableau, Python/R.
Strong experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access.
Data modeling and dashboard creation expertise.
Experience:
3–6 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in a business analysis or data analytics role.
Experience working in an analytical/reporting environment, ideally in a matrix structure.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
Ability to manage sensitive data with integrity.
High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Flexibility:
Open to working any shift within the 10:30 AM – 10:30 PM window.
Knowledge of Travel systems and key performance metrics/infrastructure.
Prior experience with Big Data, LUMI, IDN, and Cornerstone platforms.
Background in the travel industry is a plus.
