Position: Risk & Control Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Job Purpose

  • Identify risk & control issues through continuous monitoring and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on reconciliation methodology, regulatory reporting, and control aspects for seamless operations.
  • Work with units to minimize risks by implementing effective controls.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills are mandatory.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise reconciliation processes and collaborate with teams to mitigate operational risks.
  • Perform General Ledger substantiation & certifications of balance sheet accounts.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely completion while identifying discrepancies.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting is carried out accurately and in compliance with policies.
  • Identify and resolve gaps through root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  • Assess impacts of new product launches on reconciliation and risk controls.
  • Identify areas of manual efforts and work towards automation.
  • Guide operations units and branches by resolving process and account-related queries.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of banking processes and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of account reconciliation concepts, risk areas, and regulatory requirements in India.
  • Experience in automation of reconciliation processes is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Spark framework is a must.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills in an agile work environment.
  • Ability to deliver test maturity assessments and implement improvement plans.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Relevant experience in risk management, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Recon and TB balancing.
