The Application Support Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role that involves applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge to improve processes and workflows. This role requires an understanding of how areas integrate within the sub-function and contributes to the overall business objectives. The individual will be involved in evaluating moderately complex issues, providing guidance, and offering solutions with a significant impact on project size and geography.
Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, ensuring quick resolutions to app issues.
Maintain application systems after the development stage, ensuring stability, quality, and functionality aligned with service level expectations.
Perform start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers.
Conduct same-day risk reconciliations and develop/maintain technical support documentation.
Identify ways to maximize the potential of applications and assess risk and impact of production issues.
Escalate issues to business and technology management in a timely manner.
Ensure proper storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning.
Formulate and define scope and objectives for application enhancements and problem resolution.
Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure system availability to users.
Partner with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
Participate in application releases, covering development, testing, and deployment into production.
Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
Communicate and identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues within applications and the environment.
Adhere to operating standards and procedures, ensuring smooth operation and support for internal teams and vendors.
Act as a liaison between users/traders and technology groups.
Maintain strong communication with senior stakeholders and assist lower-level analysts.
Participate in stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives for support projects.
Assess risk when making business decisions and ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies.
Experience: 8-12 years in an Application Support role.
Technical Skills: Experience with installing, configuring, or supporting business applications; familiarity with programming languages is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
Tools: Familiarity with issue tracking, reporting tools, and problem management tools.
Workload Management: Ability to plan, organize, and manage workload effectively.
Independence: Ability to operate with limited supervision and demonstrate sound judgment.
Degree: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
