Position Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Credit Analyst is responsible for credit analysis of multinational corporate (MNC) clients, providing recommendations for corporate advances while ensuring risk minimization and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Credit Analysis & Proposal Preparation:

    • Conduct thorough credit analysis of financial statements, industry trends, and economic data.
    • Prepare credit proposals with accurate risk assessment, ensuring compliance with bank policies.
    • Recommend appropriate ratings & GRR using internal tools and credit judgment.
  • Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management:

    • Conduct portfolio reviews, covenant checks, and security monitoring in line with approval conditions.
    • Monitor client credit evolution, identifying early warning signals and reporting material changes.
    • Ensure timely completion of annual reviews/transaction deadlines.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Risk, and other BNP Paribas networks to facilitate the credit process.
    • Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Credit Committee & Deal Participation:

    • Present credit proposals in local credit committees.
    • Participate in client meetings alongside Relationship Managers to enhance credit understanding.
    • Contribute to discussions on potential deals and sector analysis.
  • Policy & Compliance Support:

    • Stay updated on credit policies and methodologies.
    • Support projects related to automation of credit monitoring.
    • Assist with regulatory/audit-related credit matters.
  • Team Support & Development:

    • Provide back-up support to team members.
    • Assist Team Lead & Head of CTCM on ad hoc tasks.

Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and compliance frameworks.
  • Support regulatory/audit queries on credit-related matters.
  • Contribute to the bank's Permanent Control framework.
