Job Summary
As a Control Manager - Data Visualization Business Analyst in the Transformation Team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing business needs and proposing automated reporting solutions that reduce costs, minimize risks, and ensure compliance with established controls. Your key responsibilities include designing, building, and performing quality control on automated solutions before implementing them. Additionally, you will generate regular and special reports and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Business Process Review & Analysis:

Conduct business process reviews, analyze data flows, and develop automated solutions to maximize efficiency and minimize risks.

Maintain business process tools and ensure compliance with evolving business requirements.

Gather, manipulate, and analyze data for business and financial reporting purposes.

Reporting & Insight Generation:
-
Create regular and special reports based on analysis and provide actionable business insights.

Ensure the accuracy of data and assist in report preparation for internal and external audiences.

Articulate the results of your analysis and present findings to key stakeholders.

Problem Solving & Recommendations:

Solve business-related problems and distribute reports as necessary.

Recommend changes to methods or procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Become a subject matter expert within the function, continually developing your knowledge of business processes and applications.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, BI solutions development, process design, and reporting.

Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, Cognos, and working with big data and other platforms.

Proficiency in data transformation and wrangling tools/languages such as Alteryx, Python, Trifacta, Spark, Scala, etc.
-
Excellent command of SQL and understanding of common RDBMS systems (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle).

Strong knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Subversion, Git, Bitbucket) and advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to understand business needs, diagnose performance issues, and develop actionable recommendations using data analysis.

Strong attention to detail, with a good judgment and resourcefulness to solve complex problems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, research issues, and share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

Ability to maintain data integrity through extraction, manipulation, processing, analysis, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Experience with big data transformation tools and languages like Alteryx, Trifacta, Spark, Scala.

Knowledge of Chase Control Management systems (CORE) and in-depth knowledge of consumer and wholesale banking data.

Knowledge of Python, VBA Scripts, or Visio would be a plus.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline.

Prior experience in financial services, control management, audit, quality assurance, risk management, program management, or compliance would be advantageous.
