Business Overview
The Global Servicing Group (GSG) at American Express delivers extraordinary customer care to Card Members, merchants, and commercial clients worldwide. The team also manages credit, collections, fraud services, and key shared services like procurement, sales operations, and business enablement.
By partnering with businesses across the company, GSG develops strategies and executes complex change initiatives, ensuring that every customer interaction reinforces Amex’s reputation for trust, security, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer queries promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed Employee, Customer, and Shareholder metrics as per business goals.
- Identify and recommend workflow improvements to enhance customer experience.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality and compliance guidelines.
- Support new initiatives within the organization.
- Balance customer interests with company policies to deliver optimal service.
- Communicate clearly and professionally (both verbal and written) to document and resolve issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate/Undergraduate with 1-6 years of experience in customer service or contact center roles.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer focus and ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- High level of customer sensitivity, commitment, and service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and meet stringent deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Prior experience in a calling role is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous performance rating of G2L2 or better in the last review.
- Knowledge of American Express products is an added advantage.
