????️ Job Description
As a Data Privacy Operations Analyst, you will support the design and implementation of Barclays' Data Privacy Framework, ensuring the responsible handling of personal data and compliance with data protection laws. You will act as a point of contact for Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) and manage privacy risks within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Framework Development & Maintenance: Develop and maintain Barclays’ Data Privacy Framework, including policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.

Risk Management & Compliance: Provide specialist support to ensure the identification, assessment, and management of Data Privacy risks.

Incident Response & Breach Management: Coordinate responses to personal data breaches, including containment, remediation, and timely reporting to regulators and impacted individuals.
-
DPA Management: Act as the main point of contact for DPAs, ensuring timely responses to complaints, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.

Collaboration: Work with 1LoD Data Privacy SMEs, Legal, Compliance, and risk management functions to ensure a comprehensive approach to managing compliance and related risks.

Industry Representation: Represent Barclays in Data Privacy industry groups, identifying areas for improvement and driving enhancements to the framework.

Employee Education & Awareness: Support training and awareness initiatives, ensuring all employees understand their data privacy obligations.
Skills and Experience Required:

Understanding of Data Protection Laws: Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and emerging regulations.

Collaboration with IT: Experience working with IT departments to assess risks, manage data breaches, and implement technical safeguards.

Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs): Hands-on experience in conducting DPIAs and interpreting privacy policies.

Incident Response: Knowledge of breach management processes and regulatory requirements for reporting breaches.

Privacy Design Advocacy: Familiarity with privacy design principles and risk assessments.

Data Management Concepts: Knowledge of metadata, lineage, and authoritative data sources.
