About the Role:
Amazon’s Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, focusing on delivering excellent customer experiences. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our SCOT Finance team. The role involves handling the financial close, related reporting, accruals, and supporting monthly P&L analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting. The candidate will utilize financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large datasets and manage headcount reporting, planning, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close & Reporting:
Perform financial close activities, including accruals and related reporting. -
P&L Analysis & Forecasting:
Support monthly Profit & Loss analysis and financial forecasting. -
Data Analysis:
Work with large data sets using financial systems and advanced MS Excel to generate meaningful business reports. -
KPI Metrics:
Establish, measure, and monitor weekly KPI metrics for business initiatives and operational performance. -
Business Reviews:
Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews, facilitating business reviews with data analysis. -
Ad-hoc Analysis:
Conduct ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling as required. -
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes. -
Data Integrity:
Detect incomplete or inaccurate data, identify the root cause, and resolve or escalate discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:

Experience:
CA fresher or 1+ years of experience in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), closing of books of accounts, reporting, and analytics. -
Skills:
-
Strong financial acumen with decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
-
Ability to evaluate, manage, and analyze data quickly to create meaningful business reports.
-
Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel.
-
Good interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communication skills.
-
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills (Preferred):
-
Retail industry experience.
-
Experience in VBA, COGNOS, and SQL is a plus.
