Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to create visually compelling digital and print designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of branding, typography, UI/UX, and web design principles. This role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently, with some coordination with teams in the Eastern Time zone (UTC -5).
Key Responsibilities
???? Graphic Design: Create engaging graphics, illustrations, and layouts for marketing materials, advertisements, social media, presentations, and brand assets.
???? Production: Deliver high-quality, print-ready, and digital designs from concept to final execution.
???? Web Design: Design user-centered website layouts, wireframes, and prototypes with an emphasis on accessibility and seamless user experiences.
???? Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to D2L’s brand identity and messaging guidelines.
???? Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to execute projects effectively.
???? UI/UX Design: Enhance digital usability and engagement through thoughtful interface and experience design.
???? Creative Problem-Solving: Develop innovative design solutions aligned with project objectives and target audience needs.
???? Industry Awareness: Stay informed on design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Skills
✅ Experience: 4+ years in professional graphic design.
???? Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
???? Portfolio: An impressive collection of previous work demonstrating creativity, proficiency, and impact.
Technical Skills:
✔ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
✔ Understanding of HTML, CSS, and web design principles.
✔ Strong expertise in typography, color theory, layout design, and branding.
✔ Experience in UI/UX design and collaborating with development teams.
Soft Skills:
✔ Detail-oriented with a strong focus on design precision.
✔ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
✔ Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
✔ Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
✔ Flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with teams in different time zones.
