Job Summary
We are seeking a senior-level engineering technician to join our team. The role involves working with minimal supervision while performing advanced functions related to electronic applications, standards, and document control. The ideal candidate should be able to guide other engineering professionals and delegate work assignments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Execution
✔ Apply knowledge of standards, systems, document control, and departmental guidelines.
✔ Maintain project documentation, including contract scope, specifications, and inter-discipline requirements.
✔ Develop and maintain clash-free designs by coordinating with other disciplines.
✔ Review vendor drawings and documents to incorporate relevant data.
✔ Ensure compliance with MDR and project QA/QC systems and procedures.
✔ Assist in the preparation of 3D models for instrumentation designs.
Project Coordination & Compliance
✔ Attend project design reviews, audits, and team meetings.
✔ Ensure timely completion and archiving of drawings and documents.
✔ Monitor project progress and maintain a deliverables register.
✔ Capture and document lessons learned in the MDR system.
✔ Ensure adherence to construction and constructability practices.
Deliverables Preparation
✔ Create detailed designs and as-built drawings for various projects.
✔ Develop layout drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and block diagrams.
✔ Prepare shutdown hierarchy diagrams, material schedules, and instrument installation details.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
✔ Diploma or Certificate in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Design
✔ 5 to 14 years of relevant experience
✔ High School Graduate with drafting/design experience
✔ Strong knowledge of E3D software
Technical Skills
✔ Proficiency in CADD, information modeling, and engineering design principles
✔ Knowledge of engineering standards, document control, and industry best practices
✔ Understanding of construction and constructability practices
Soft Skills
✔ Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
✔ Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
✔ Strong listening, communication, and team collaboration skills
✔ Self-motivated with a drive for results
Work Environment & Compliance
✔ Office-based role with occasional site visits
