Key Responsibilities
Under supervision, you will:
- Develop and check drawings, equipment layouts, piping layouts, pipe supports, isometrics, and other related designs.
- Lead a design team and ensure quality standards.
- Understand and apply global design standards, statutory codes, and industry regulations.
- Conduct internal and client 3D model reviews with technical support.
- Perform site visits to gather inputs, support design, and assist with fabrication and construction.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to project needs.
- Monitor design developments, assist in design updates, and support change management.
Additional Responsibilities
Employees may be required to perform other tasks based on operational needs. All additional responsibilities will align with skills, capabilities, and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Certification
- Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering OR ITI in Mechanical Drafting
Technical Skills
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of designers.
- Piping Design: Conduct piping studies in 2D/3D environments using equipment layouts and P&IDs.
- Design Reviews: Collaborate with lead designers on periodic reviews.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Review vendor drawings and manage design changes.
- Site Visits & Client Meetings: Periodically assess design development.
- Mentoring: Train junior designers and support professional growth.
- Software Proficiency:
- 2D/3D Software: AutoCAD, MicroStation
- Review Tools: Navis Manage, SPR
- 3D Design Software: SP3D, PDS, PDMS, E3D, AutoPLANT, CADWorx, Plant 3D
- General Tools: Microsoft Office Suite
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to present technical concerns and solutions concisely.
- Effective business communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.
- Ability to conduct technical training sessions.
