About the NGO
Yein Udaan is a grassroots organization in Chennai, established in 2017 to provide underprivileged children with a safe space and diverse learning opportunities. We are launching our Primary School (OBE) Program for students in primary classes.
About the Role
The Teacher will be responsible for conducting the Primary School (OBE) Program at Yein Udaan, focusing on both academic and non-academic development.
Responsibilities
Academics
-
Teach English, Tamil, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science following the provided curriculum.

Implement activity-based learning to engage students.
-
Conduct assessments, observations, and maintain records of student progress.
Non-Academics
-
Lead Value Education sessions.
-
Work closely with the mental health counsellor to support students' well-being.
-
Engage with parents and the community to encourage learning beyond the classroom.
Additional Duties
-
Participate in community outreach events organized by Yein Udaan.
-
Be open to on-the-job training and continuous learning.

Skills & Experience

Excellent English & Tamil (reading and writing).

Qualification in a teaching degree or course.
