As a Reference Data Analyst, you will focus on overseeing strategic data used across the bank’s systems. Your responsibilities will span the data lifecycle from sourcing and validating data to managing its quality and distribution. You will also contribute to projects aimed at improving infrastructure and streamlining processes, with a close partnership with stakeholders in various departments such as Front Office, Middle Office, Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory teams.
This role will involve handling data operations and generating reports based on data interpretation, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and resolving any risk or open items.
Process:
Manage data input and approval for account opening, maintenance, and SSI functions in downstream systems.
Ensure adherence to processing guidelines (KOP) with diligence.
Monitor mailboxes for processing updates and queries.
Participate in team huddles and employee engagement activities.
Complete mandatory trainings on time.
Plan leaves and breaks in line with process deliverables and ensure timely updates on HR systems (Workday).
Meet productivity targets of 100% and maintain 100% accuracy in processing.
Assist the team in reviewing the KOP.
Control:
Ensure account opening and maintenance processes are followed as per CAM KOP.
Own and resolve issues promptly, escalating when necessary as per the escalation matrix.
Change:
Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual intervention.
Look for process gaps and propose remediation solutions.
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience: 0.6 to 6 years in corporate banking.
Knowledge: Basic knowledge of banking operations and financial products (including fixed income, cash, derivatives, futures, options, swaps, etc.).
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Good communication skills with the ability to interact with Middle Office and clients for timely and accurate processing.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ensure compliance with STARC standards and procedures.
Ability to create EOD (End of Day) reports for transactions processed daily.
