About the Role – Business Analyst/Assistant Manager (AIM)

The Analytics, Investment Optimization, and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team is the analytical engine driving Global Commercial Services (GCS) at American Express. This role, based in Gurugram, will focus on Global Commercial Card Product Analytics, including portfolio analysis, campaign measurement, and business insights.

You will partner closely with GCS product teams, providing data-driven solutions to enhance product performance, measure marketing impacts, and support strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Campaign Measurement & Business Insights

  • Support business partners with campaign measurement, ROI analysis, and data-driven insights.

  • Evaluate the impact of various marketing treatments and deliver actionable reports.

Portfolio Analytics

  • Analyze portfolio performance, identify trends, and provide leading indicators.

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and efficient reporting for marketing leadership.

Product & Business Support

  • Enable GCS product teams with insightful analytical solutions to drive performance.

  • Automate and refine analytical frameworks to improve operational efficiency.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

  • Work across global teams, managing multiple projects and driving business success.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Challenge the status quo by introducing new insights and opportunities.

  • Identify gaps, resolve issues, and improve analytical processes through automation.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics).

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply quantitative methods to business challenges.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across a matrix organization.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects across different geographies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills—experience with Big Data platforms is a plus.

  • Knowledge of advanced analytical tools and automation techniques.
