The Analytics, Investment Optimization, and Marketing Enablement (AIM) team is the analytical engine that drives the Global Commercial Card and Non-Card business for American Express.
As a Business Analyst/Assistant Manager, you will be part of the Global Commercial Services (GCS) team, focusing on portfolio analytics, campaign measurements, and product enhancements. You will collaborate closely with GCS product teams, providing data-driven insights to shape business strategy and drive performance.
This role requires a strong background in data analytics, commercial card products, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
Campaign Measurement & Analysis:
Deliver campaign measurement reports, ROI analysis, and actionable insights to support business partners.
Evaluate marketing treatments and report outcomes to leadership.
Portfolio Analytics:
Conduct portfolio analysis to identify trends, key indicators, and business outlook.
Provide strategic analytical support for product performance and enhancements.
Strategic Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly performance reports for marketing leadership.
Drive automation and refinement of analytical frameworks.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Engage with business partners, capabilities teams, and external vendors to support decision-making.
Communicate insights clearly to influence and align cross-functional teams.
Execution & Innovation:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and challenge the status quo.
Design success metrics and deliver high-quality analytical solutions.
Education:
Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics).
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to apply quantitative methods to business challenges.
Experience in Big Data programming is a plus.
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive collaboration.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects in a matrix organization.
Programming Knowledge:
Strong programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python, or other data-related languages).
Experience with Big Data technologies is preferred.
Business Acumen:
Familiarity with commercial card products and portfolio performance analysis.
