Function Description

This B28 Lead Analyst position is part of the Global Record to Report, Intercompany Center of Excellence, reporting to the Financial Analyst B30 – Intercompany Center of Excellence.


Purpose of the Role

The Lead Analyst will be responsible for accounting and reporting on a subset of Intercompany service fee allocations, specifically handling European entities' charge-out process.

Given the complexity of intercompany transactions and the regulatory environment, the role demands a strong control mindset to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financials. This position will ensure compliance with Intercompany policies, monitor account balances, and report key performance indicators related to the monthly close process globally.

The role involves collaborating with teams such as Transfer Pricing, Local Taxation, Market Controllers, and business units, requiring excellent communication and relationship-building skills.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage accounting and reporting of Intercompany Charge-outs for the EMEA Region.

  • Ensure timely accounting and compliance with close protocols and policies (e.g., MJE, Spreadsheet controls).

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to Intercompany protocols and regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain accuracy and control over monthly financials and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders across various levels.

  • Provide critical support for global and local audits and regulatory exams.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and support key business initiatives.

  • Analyze data to create dashboards and provide insights for decision-making.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Provide detailed analytics on intercompany transactions and performance indicators.

  • Monitor and report key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.


Skills & Capabilities

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is preferred.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis for preparing dashboards.

Operational Excellence

  • Ability to grasp complex issues and understand the end-to-end process.

  • Maintain high accuracy and productivity with strong controls.

Analytical & Communication Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Process Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of Transfer Pricing, Intercompany Transactions, and US GAAP.

  • Experience in managing monthly closing activities and financial reporting.


Qualifications

  • B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
