About the Role
We are seeking an Analyst for our Sustainable Finance Research team in Mumbai. The Sustainable Finance team provides Second Party Opinions (SPOs) on Green, Social, and Sustainability-Linked Bonds, offering independent insights into sustainability quality.
The Analyst will work closely with our APAC Lead in Hong Kong and collaborate with team members from London, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, New York, Toronto, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, ESG expertise, and a passion for sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
???? Second Party Opinions (SPOs)
- Evaluate Green, Social, Transition, and Sustainability-Linked Bonds for compliance with global standards (ICMA, LMA).
- Assess bond issuers’ ESG strategies and commitments.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and underwriters for smooth project execution.
- Produce high-quality, unbiased SPO reports that assist investors in decision-making.
- Conduct post-issuance reviews to ensure continued compliance.
???? Research & Market Analysis
- Analyze local taxonomies and frameworks for Green and Sustainable finance.
- Stay updated on global trends and regulations in Sustainable Finance.
Qualifications & Skills Required
???? Education & Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in sustainability/ESG consulting, environmental consulting, or responsible investment.
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Finance, International Business, or a related field.
???? Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of corporate sustainability strategy and sustainable finance.
- Familiarity with global principles & taxonomies for Green & Social Bonds.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
???? Project & Communication Skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing experience.
- Fluent in English (oral & written).
