Role Overview:
As a Service Operations Support Analyst at Barclays, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects, ensuring alignment with the planned budget, agreed quality, and governance standards. You will play a key role in evolving our digital landscape, driving innovation, and enhancing customer experiences by leveraging cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities:

Shift Role: Ready to work in 24/7 shifts (Shifts: 6 AM – 3 PM IST, 2 PM – 11 PM IST, 10 PM – 7 AM IST).

Web Application Security: Implement and onboard network and security configurations for Akamai Kona/AAP Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Content Delivery Network (CDN) platform.

Security Expertise: Expertise in Web Application Security, WAF, and DDoS protection solutions, with knowledge of layer 3 and 7 DDoS protection technologies.

Integration & Troubleshooting: Implement and troubleshoot third-party WAF and DDoS services integration with on-premise and cloud-based services.

Security Network Architecture: Strong knowledge of firewalls, DMZ, proxies, DNS, web and mail servers, and networking principles.

Cloud Technologies: Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and SaaS-based security solutions.

Incident Management: Handle incident, problem, and change management, ensuring SLAs/SLTs are met.

Disaster Recovery & Audits: Lead major and minor incidents, disaster recovery planning/testing, and comply with audit requirements.

Additional Skills: Unix/Windows/Network Administration, scripting (Python, PowerShell), SIEM, EDR/XDR, DLP, Databases, and Web Server Tools knowledge.

Professional Certifications: Relevant IT/networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCSP).

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand their security requirements in business processes and IT projects, enhancing risk management.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Perform risk assessments to identify cybersecurity threats and guide mitigation strategies, communicating findings to senior stakeholders.

Policy Development: Collaborate with business units to develop and implement security policies aligned with the risk management framework.

Security Control Management: Implement, test, and monitor security controls across IT systems to mitigate risks.

Cybersecurity Training: Develop and conduct training sessions to enhance cybersecurity awareness.

Incident Management: Lead complex cybersecurity incidents with IT teams to resolve issues through analysis and expertise support.

Emerging Trends: Identify cybersecurity trends and recommend new security solutions to address potential risks.
