Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative Duties:
✔ Maintain personal rapport with each student.
✔ Ensure discipline and punctuality among students.
✔ Keep the classroom neat and tidy, appointing a monitor to oversee cleanliness.
✔ Encourage students to decorate classrooms with charts and illustrations.
✔ Promote respect for school property and ensure no damage occurs.
✔ Supervise students during activities and ensure they do not engage in unsupervised play.
✔ Guide students to assemblies and activity rooms as required.
✔ Monitor subject teaching and classroom activities.
✔ Instill environmental consciousness, teaching students about Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle principles.
✔ Foster kindness and sensitivity towards the less privileged.
2. Academic Responsibilities:
✔ Ensure timely submission of report cards and comments from subject teachers.
✔ Communicate with parents during PTMs to discuss students' overall progress.
3. Classroom Management:
✔ Keep bulletin boards updated with worksheets, schedules, class lists, and other important information.
✔ Appoint class captains for various responsibilities.
✔ Encourage students to clean their classrooms after breaks and during the day.
✔ Maintain a visible timetable, homework schedule, and assessment plan for substitute teachers.
✔ Prepare a work plan for substitute teachers before taking leave.
✔ Stay updated on subject knowledge, education trends, workshops, and seminars.
4. Attendance Management:
✔ Maintain accurate attendance records.
✔ Take attendance twice daily (morning and after lunch).
✔ Monitor late arrivals and absences.
Qualifications:
???? Graduate/Postgraduate in a relevant subject
???? B.Ed (Mandatory) / N.T.T. + Graduate/Postgraduate in a subject (based on level)
