The BVM team provides strategic management of technology vendor engagements to ensure high-value services are delivered to American Express. This role will support Vendor Analysis and proactively manage vendor data in partnership with US colleagues, driving strategic management, supporting global projects, and facilitating process improvements and automation initiatives.
Validate technology vendor invoices against approved contracts/SOW to ensure timely payments, including review and dispute resolution with vendors and internal teams.
Ensure timely and accurate booking of accruals and other accounting entries in collaboration with the Technology Controllership.
Perform financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making.
Manage vendor rebate forecasting and collection.
Provide local support for audits (AXP internal audits and external government agencies) regarding vendor companies and ensure compliance with the India Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act.
Take on additional responsibilities and manage cross-functional activities as assigned.
Foster relationships with GCO, Tax, Controllership, GSM, and vendor partners.
Drive and support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.
Manage issues related to contractual and vendor engagement processes.
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in invoice payments, financial/data analytics, or contract management, preferably in IT services.
Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
