Role Overview

As a Customer Service Representative (Portuguese Language), you will be responsible for handling inbound calls and service requests related to prepaid products such as Traveler’s Cheques and Gift Cards. Your primary role will be to analyze, process, and resolve customer queries while ensuring compliance with policies and risk management guidelines.

This is a customer-facing, multilingual role in a 24x7 work environment that requires fluency in Portuguese and English.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound customer and merchant calls and faxes related to prepaid products, including Gift Cards and Traveler’s Cheques.
  • Handle claims for lost/stolen cheques and assist customers unable to cash them.
  • Process refund requests, overspend cases, and excessive balance inquiries.
  • Respond to customer escalations, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze risk-related data to identify fraud connections and take necessary actions.
  • Maintain a balance between customer service excellence, policy compliance, and risk management.
  • Adapt to changing processes and meet/exceed performance targets.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate degree with 0 – 3 years of experience in customer service.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (both written and verbal).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent listening and decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle escalations professionally while ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction and risk compliance.
