Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Director – DDIT IES Cloud Engineering to design and develop cutting-edge AI and Generative AI infrastructure on the AWS platform. This infrastructure will support pharmaceutical business use cases, enabling research scientists and business users to conduct early molecule development and research activities efficiently.
The role involves engineering and operating cloud platform capabilities in a DevOps operating model using Agile methodology while supporting cloud product releases and working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Engineering & Development
✅ Design, code, implement, and support Cloud Product releases and enhancements.
✅ Transform requirements from architects, operations, or customers into Cloud Component designs.
✅ Develop and maintain Cloud Service guidelines, coding standards, security considerations, and documentation.
✅ Ensure all developed solutions are operationally supportable and well-documented.
Operations & Support
✅ Collaborate with Architects, Design Experts, and Operations teams for integration and support.
✅ Perform post-release L3/L4 operational support.
✅ Automate continuous delivery and on-demand capacity management solutions.
✅ Maintain and update Design Specification documents aligned with the Architectural Handbook.
✅ Ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies.
Collaboration & Innovation
✅ Guide customers in the installation and use of strategic products.
✅ Drive architectural improvements and standardization of Cloud environments.
✅ Develop and enhance automated DevOps processes for faster releases.
✅ Support the Product Owner in representing Cloud Platform Services to Functional IT organizations.
✅ Report service issues and optimization opportunities to the Director of Cloud Platform Engineering.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
???? Release & Delivery Metrics:
- Quality of releases (technical and functional compliance).
- On-time delivery of stories in sprints.
- Timely resolution of backlog items, risks, and gaps.
- Completeness and accuracy of release documentation.
- Zero escalations related to Novartis Values and Behavior Principles.
Required Qualifications
???? Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and AWS-based infrastructure.
- Strong experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
???? Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Platform Services and AI/Generative AI infrastructure.
- Expertise in cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.
- Experience in developing scalable and secure computing resources for research and development.
???? Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
