Role: Electrical/Mechanical CAD Engineer
Role Proficiency:
Possess a basic understanding of engineering principles in Electrical or Mechanical domains. Work as part of a team in all CAD-related activities under the guidance of a Lead Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical CAD Design:
- Develop 2D wire harness drawings that meet customer requirements and industrial drafting standards.
- Utilize 3D modeling for parts and assemblies.
- Understand and analyze device and component technical data sheets.
Mechanical CAD Design:
- Hydraulic Design: Create hydraulic routings using Pro-E Wildfire.
- Structural Design: Design parts and weld fabrications.
- Weld Design: Develop welding structural components.
- Vehicle Integration and Assembly: Contribute to Mechanical or Electrical integration as part of vehicle assembly.
Measures of Success:
- Customer Satisfaction – Based on client feedback.
- Adherence to Timelines & SLAs – Deliver work within set schedules.
- Quality Control – Minimize errors, defects, and non-compliance issues.
- Process Efficiency – Reduce reoccurrence of known defects.
- Productivity Standards – Meet defined project benchmarks.
- Training & Development – Complete all mandatory training programs.
Key Outputs Expected:
Design & Documentation:
- Understand design requirements, sheet metal design guidelines, and weldments.
- Identify, analyze, and rectify drawing, PLM/PDM, and model errors.
- Maintain project documentation for audit purposes.
Knowledge Management:
- Follow modeling procedures, checklists, quality checks, and workflows.
- Adhere to PLM & PDM processes.
Requirements Gathering & Learning:
- Understand client expectations, project scope, and inputs.
- Improve domain knowledge and soft skills through training and webinars.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Technical Skills:
- Harness Drawing Creation (Electrical).
- 3D Modeling & Drafting using industry-standard software.
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Proficiency in Creo Sheet Metal, AutoCAD Part Modeling & Drawing.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Analytical & conceptual thinking ability.
- Proactive problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
