Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Writing Tasks:

    • Collaborate with global medical directors to develop study protocols, non-interventional study reports, and investigator brochures in accordance with SOPs, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
    • Contribute to the creation of abstracts, congress posters, and presentations.
    • Prepare publication proposals using standard Novo Nordisk templates.
  • Document Review and Approval:

    • Coordinate clinical document version reviews and approval processes.
    • Ensure audit preparedness and document-review meetings.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Facilitate discussions with study groups for the development of study protocols and reports.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
    • Participate in internal and external medical and marketing activities, such as expert meetings, lectures, and conferences.
  • Literature Search and Summarization:

    • Conduct literature searches and prepare summaries of systematic literature reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Contribute to ongoing improvements in cross-functional collaboration and sharing of best practices.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements:

    • A degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, medical, or pharmaceutical.
  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in medical writing, especially in preparing study protocols, non-interventional study reports, and investigator’s brochures.
    • Familiarity with real-world studies and therapy areas (e.g., diabetes, obesity, MASH).
    • Experience in developing abstracts, congress posters, and presentations.
  • Key Skills:

    • Strong ability to perform literature searches and prepare summaries.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage clinical document version reviews and approval processes.
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
    • Ability to contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing.

The Global Medical Affairs, Bangalore (GMA-BLR) team is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs unit headquartered in Denmark. It is part of Global Business Services (GBS) in Bangalore, India. The Regions and Operations vertical supports global teams in conducting real-world studies, from protocol development and study conduct to data analysis, publications, and medical affairs activities.
