Job Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating data from various internal and external sources into common data models to support data and analytics activities across our global business operations. This role requires expertise in data processing, data modeling, and automation testing within a big data environment.
Your work will contribute directly to our mission of helping people get jobs by providing insights into the global job market and supporting product innovation to enhance job seeker-employer connections.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Design & implement scalable, efficient ETL pipelines to integrate data into our Data Warehouse.
✔ Develop and implement data model changes aligning with warehouse standards.
✔ Provide documentation, training, and consulting for data warehouse users.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
✔ Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
✔ 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
✔ Strong Java programming skills with experience in Java-based application development.
✔ Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
✔ Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi).
✔ Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
✔ Expertise in working with large datasets.
✔ Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
✔ Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
✔ Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows.
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
✔ Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
Preferred:
✔ Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
✔ Performance testing expertise using JMeter or LoadRunner.
✔ Background in Machine Learning and Data Engineering concepts.
