Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager with 15+ years of experience in Digital Design for Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) ICs, specifically for Power Management ICs (PMICs) within our $2.6B Power Business Unit.

This role involves:
???? Leading a Digital Design team to define microarchitectures and develop Digital components for PMICs.
???? Collaborating cross-functionally with Analog, Verification, and Systems teams for seamless integration.
???? Designing cutting-edge DC-DC converters powering the latest smartphones and handheld devices.
???? Defining Dig-Ana boundaries, optimizing RTL design, and ensuring low-power digital architectures.

Key Responsibilities

???? Leadership & Team Management

✔ Lead the Digital Design team, ensuring optimal cost, staffing, and methodologies.
✔ Mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and foster innovation.
✔ Collaborate with senior leadership to align team objectives with company strategy.

???? Digital Design & Microarchitecture

✔ Define Digital design scope and micro-architectures for PMICs & Mixed-Signal ICs.
✔ Handle Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) and ensure glitch-free transitions.
✔ Implement low-power design techniques and digital power estimation.
✔ Design and analyze filters & feedback loops in the Z-domain.

???? Silicon Debug & Verification

✔ Perform RTL design, Logic Synthesis, Formal Verification, and Static Timing Analysis (STA).
✔ Debug multiple silicon designs, perform root cause analysis, and optimize designs.
✔ Understand control loop architectures (Constant Frequency, Constant ON/OFF Time, Current Mode).

???? Digital & Mixed-Signal Integration

✔ Implement communication protocols: I2C, PMBUS, SVI3, SVID, etc.
✔ Develop state machines and power sequences for IC requirements.
✔ Work with OTP, MTP, Efuse, Trimming, and DFT architectures.

???? Workflow & Methodology

✔ Set up Digital design flows, methodologies, and review checklists.
✔ Optimize design-to-silicon correlation for first-pass success.


Required Skills & Qualifications

???? Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Finance/BFSI knowledge is a plus.

???? Technical Expertise:
15+ years in Digital Design for Mixed-Signal ICs (PMICs preferred).
✔ Strong experience in RTL design, Gate-level Netlist, and AMS design.
✔ Expertise in Digital Power Management and Low-Power Design.
✔ Hands-on experience with Digital-Analog (Dig-Ana) boundary definitions.
Deep understanding of control loops and power regulation architectures.
✔ Familiarity with DFT, Silicon Debug, and Production Testing.

???? Leadership & Collaboration:
✔ Proven team management & mentoring experience.
✔ Ability to work with senior leadership on budgeting & resource planning.
✔ Strong cross-functional collaboration with Analog, Verification, and Systems teams.
