Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for the EPC execution of Manufacturing & Technology projects. The role involves the design and coordination of electrical works, including basic and detailed design and project coordination. The ideal candidate will have exposure to international codes and standards (Indian, US, Euro) and strong knowledge of electrical systems and physical design principles.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical discipline work including preparation and review of calculations, specifications, and electrical layout plans, including lighting and grounding systems.
  • Participate in various stages of design:
    • Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
    • Equipment design and development
    • System design, including concept sketches and layouts
  • Prepare and review specifications, design calculations, and engineering studies.
  • Review designs, drawings, and data submitted by other engineers, suppliers, or subcontractors, offering comments and recommendations.
  • Prepare or review material quantity estimates, forecasts, and change orders.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment based on directness, trust, and communication with the team.
  • Utilize CAD/CAE tools for engineering design.
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasts and quantity take-offs.
  • Review 3D models (e.g., using SPR or Navisworks) and participate in 30%, 50%, and 90% model reviews.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors to review designs and ensure technical compliance.
  • Apply knowledge of power distribution design and compliance with various TIER classifications.
  • Design low-voltage services such as life safety systems, fire alarms, surveillance systems, and public address systems.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors for interface design and manage the coordination of electrical works.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Site experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Manufacturing & Technology projects, such as semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and battery manufacturing facilities, is highly desirable.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of engineering systems, calculations, and construction methods.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD/CAE tools to address engineering problems.
  • Experience preparing technical specifications, datasheets, and material requisitions.
  • Knowledge of power distribution design and designing to meet various TIER classifications.
  • Familiarity with low voltage services like life safety, fire alarms, surveillance, and PA systems.
  • Experience reviewing and managing 3D models using tools such as SPR or Navisworks.
  • Ability to prepare and review load lists, MCC schedules, and other electrical layouts like grounding, raceways, and lighting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes/standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical design.
  • Basic skills in oral and written communication.
