Function Overview

As part of the Technology Team, we develop planning, forecasting, and reporting solutions for various business units. Our core platforms include IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Cognos BI, OBIEE, and Tableau, serving customers such as corporate planning, investment optimization, and risk finance teams.


Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Analyst with expertise in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) to develop and maintain financial reporting, planning, and forecasting solutions. The ideal candidate will optimize existing processes, drive automation, and deliver innovative solutions that add value to the business.


Key Responsibilities

Business & Technical Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple financial processes (Reporting, Planning & Forecasting, Long-Range Planning, Investment Optimization).
  • Design, build, and implement new financial solutions using IBM Cognos TM1 Planning Analytics.
  • Customize and enhance existing processes by leveraging IBM Cognos TM1 capabilities.
  • Automate financial processes, improve controls, and adopt best practices for operational efficiency.
  • Assess and improve platform/server impact of financial processes.
  • Identify new capabilities to drive value for customers and business partners.
  • Provide training and troubleshooting support to team members and business stakeholders.
  • Handle customer expectations regarding support, enhancements, and new solution developments.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Align work with enterprise priorities while balancing customer, partner, and shareholder needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous innovation and challenge the status quo.

Critical Success Factors

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5-8 years of development experience in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • TI processes, rules, and websheets.
    • Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) reports and dashboards.
    • Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX) for financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Reporting, Planning & Forecasting.
  • Experience in designing and implementing technology solutions for finance processes.
  • Ability to think both short-term and long-term to improve financial processes.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Finance knowledge is preferred.

Technical Skills & Platforms:

  • IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), PAW, PAX.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
