Engineering Change Order (ECO) Analyst
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: 3-5 years
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prioritize and expedite the review & release of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in the implementation cycle.
- Review ECOs for completeness, including BOM structure, customer impact (internal & external), organizational impact, and functional product impact.
- Analyze product & process effects of ECOs and ensure all necessary stakeholders are involved.
- Coordinate with other EC analysts to verify proper Change Implementation Board (CIB) members are included.
- Communicate issues with EC Analysts or EC Engineers to ensure ECO correctness.
- Perform impact analysis on part structures, conducting "where-used" searches.
- Train and guide ECO participants within their functional areas and advise on solutions for ECO-related challenges.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, assist in KPI development, and document ECO processes.
- Participate in ECO PM’s meetings and actively contribute to ECO-related projects.
- Ensure material-related changes are reviewed and updated through the Change Control Board.
- Coordinate with suppliers for ECO-related implementations.
Skills & Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering
✔ 3-5 years of experience in ECO processes
✔ Strong project management skills
✔ Ability to work with cross-functional teams
✔ Time management & effective negotiation skills
✔ Strong presentation, problem-solving & conflict-resolution skills
✔ Experience coordinating with suppliers
