Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Accounts Administrator to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start a career in cross-border accounting and financial operations. The role involves supporting the day-to-day accounting operations for clients in both Canada and the United States, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and administrative efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Accounting Tasks:

    • Assist with data entry, invoice processing, and reconciliations.

    • Support accounts payable and receivable for Canadian and U.S. entities.

    • Maintain accurate records of GST/HST and U.S. state sales taxes.

  • Compliance and Taxation:

    • Prepare and file T1, T2, T4A, or other compliance forms under supervision.

    • Help reconcile multi-currency bank accounts.

  • Payroll Support:

    • Support payroll processing for Canada and the U.S. in collaboration with HR or external providers.

  • Financial Document Organization:

    • Assist in organizing financial documents for monthly closing and audit preparation.

  • General Administrative Tasks:

    • Perform general finance-related administrative duties, including vendor communication and document filing.


Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 0–1 year of relevant experience. Internships or articleship experience is a bonus.

  • Skills:

    • Familiarity with basic accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).

    • Basic understanding of Canadian and U.S. financial regulations.

    • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid or remote team setting.

  • Additional Questions:

    • Are you pursuing any professional courses such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA?
