Remote Accountant – US Retail, Restaurants, Real Estate & Recruitment (QuickBooks Desktop)

Salary:
₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month
(based on experience and QuickBooks Desktop proficiency)
Work Schedule:
Monday to Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (Night Shift IST)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and independent Accountant to manage daily and monthly financial activities for our U.S.-based operations, including retail stores, restaurants, real estate, and international recruitment.
This is a remote, full-time position for someone based in India with strong experience in QuickBooks Desktop and the ability to work independently without training. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing performance, reconciling money trails daily, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and other monthly reports using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Perform daily money reconciliation using bank statements, sales reports, and deposit data.
- Maintain a proper money trail and ensure all transactions are accounted for and traceable.
- Compare current expenses and income data with historical trends to flag anomalies or inefficiencies.
- Suggest improvements to reduce losses or increase profitability across different business units.
- Maintain books with minimal supervision and ensure data accuracy and classification integrity.
- Work closely with U.S.-based management by submitting clear and timely financial reports.
- Track financial data for multiple entities including retail stores, QSRs (Subway, Baskin Robbins), and recruitment services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably for U.S.-based businesses.
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop (not just QuickBooks Online).
- Strong understanding of U.S. accounting formats and reconciliation practices.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Work-from-Home Requirements:
- High-speed internet connection (at least 50 Mbps recommended).
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace to work during U.S. hours.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience working remotely for U.S. clients.
- Familiarity with retail or restaurant cash handling and reporting.
