GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled TIG Robotic Welding Specialist responsible for operating robotic welding machines and executing shift plans. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity, working closely with High-Performance Team (HPT) cells to ensure smooth execution.

Site Overview
Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a vital role in manufacturing key aerospace components. Supporting India’s defense and commercial sectors while integrating with global aviation supply chains, we continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem through strong supplier relationships and world-class local facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) and Quality System regulations.
- Modify robot coordinates based on welding quality assessments.
- Understand TCP (Tool Center Point), Mastering, and Synchro calibration.
- Interpret robot angles, programming, and welding parameters for optimized performance.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify weld defects.
- Monitor real-time robot welding performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Address welding problems identified by Cross-Functional Teams (CFT).
- Implement POKA YOKE principles and prepare work instructions.
- Diagnose and correct welding defects.
- Perform welding of tubes, air manifolds, and sheet metal parts.
- Work with stainless steel and Inconel materials.
- Read and interpret 2D drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Analyze technical documents, SOPs, MOS (Method of Statements), and manuals to ensure finished product quality.
- Plan and execute fabrication tasks efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality while achieving shift output targets.
- Work in rotational shifts and align with organizational policies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2+ years in TIG Robotic Welding.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of robot welding processes, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to modify and adjust robot parameters.
- Familiarity with 2D drawings and GD&T.
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Work Ethics: Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to organizational needs.
