Job Summary
As a Junior Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation, submission, and follow-up of tenders and offers, while supporting the sales team. This role requires close coordination with customers, sales teams, operations, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Proposal & Tender Management
- Analyze, record, and monitor incoming enquiries.
- Ensure timely submission of offers, online/offline tenders.
- Maintain an up-to-date client contact database.
✔ Technical & Documentation Support
- Prepare specifications for bought-out items and coordinate with vendors for quotations.
- Work alongside Engineering, Commercial, and Project Managers to assess technical risks and commercial terms.
- Compile comprehensive tender specifications, including pricing, commercial conditions, deviations, and technical details.
✔ Customer & Internal Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries related to proposal submissions.
- Maintain internal quality systems for handling enquiries and proposals.
Basic Qualifications
✔ Education & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in design, manufacturing, or project execution in industries such as pumps, machine tools, compressors, valves, industrial filters, or EPC companies.
✔ Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Familiarity with online/offline tender portals (GeM, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of engineering design and documentation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
✔ Soft Skills
- Strong relationship-building skills to coordinate across teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to merge different groups, processes, and tools effectively.
