Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level-1 Network Engineer to join our growing IT team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in network engineering, with opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor Network Performance: Monitor network systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide first-level support for network-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues and equipment failures. Frequent client-side visits and coordination with Field Engineers for resolution within TAT.

Incident Management: Respond to network alarms, incidents, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed.

Documentation: Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change logs.

Network Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades under senior engineers' guidance.

Security Compliance: Assist in implementing and monitoring network security protocols like firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

Assist in Deployments: Support the deployment of new network hardware and technologies, including cabling, rack mounting, and equipment installation.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to identify and resolve network issues.

Learning & Development: Stay updated with new network technologies and certifications to enhance personal and team knowledge.
Required Qualifications

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (Equivalent experience also acceptable).

Certifications: Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar.

Technical Skills:
-
Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols.

Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cacti Nagios) is a plus.

Understanding of network security principles (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and install networking equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
