About the Role
S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join our Technology Quality Engineering team. This global team is responsible for ensuring quality and delivery of applications and infrastructure that power global markets.
As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in accelerating data enablement at SPDJI, focusing on data ingestion, access, governance, mastering, and export. You will also test enhancements, technical upgrades, and InfoSec updates.

Key Responsibilities
???? Test Automation & Quality Assurance

Design, develop, and execute automated test solutions using Python, Java, and testing frameworks (Cucumber, Carina)

Maintain and improve QA/UAT environments and manage build and deployments

Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for resolution
???? Testing & Validation
-
Perform end-to-end testing of software/database changes for functional & non-functional requirements
-
Conduct gap analysis to ensure comprehensive application test coverage
-
Keep regression test suites updated
???? Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Work in Agile Scrum teams, defining test strategies and test plans
-
Coordinate production deployments & release planning
-
Support Software Quality efforts across Development, Database, Integration, and Customer Support teams
What We’re Looking For
???? Education & Experience
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
✔ 8+ years in software/database testing
???? Technical Skills
✔ Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Cucumber, Carina)
✔ Proficiency in Java or Python and SQL
✔ Knowledge of PL/SQL, NoSQL, Linux/UNIX, Jenkins (preferred)
✔ Capital markets experience (Fixed Income, Equities, Futures, Options) is a plus
???? Soft Skills
✔ Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
✔ Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
✔ Agile mindset with experience in manual & automation testing
