Job Summary
Emerson is seeking a Proposal Engineer to collaborate with our Sales Team, develop professional proposals, and highlight the advantages of partnering with Emerson. In this role, you will engage with customers, understand their needs and specifications, and create competitive, high-quality proposals while ensuring compliance and governance.
Key Responsibilities
???? Sales & Customer Engagement
✔ Collaborate with the Sales Team to understand customer needs and market dynamics
✔ Participate in pre- and post-sales meetings and deliver technical presentations
✔ Interpret customer enquiries and specifications to tailor proposals effectively
???? Proposal Development & Execution
✔ Lead Diamond Model collaboration for proposal execution
✔ Develop and execute competitive cost proposals for mid-complexity projects
✔ Independently handle vendor RFQs and quote evaluations
???? Technical & Product Expertise
✔ Gain expertise in Emerson’s products and solutions
✔ Ensure proposals align with industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, etc.)
✔ Size flow meters and valves accurately for various applications
✅ Compliance & Governance
✔ Adhere to trade compliance, ethics, and corporate governance rules
✔ Follow PMO Proposal workflow, guidelines, and procedures
✔ Maintain records in accordance with company’s record retention policy
Who We’re Looking For
???? Technical Skills & Experience
✔ Degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering
✔ 2 to 10 years of experience in segment-specific applications
✔ Knowledge of industry codes & standards (ASME, ANSI, API, ISO)
✔ Competency in MS-Office applications
???? Soft Skills
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
✔ Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
✔ Adaptability – Ability to work across different cultures
✔ Proactive learning mindset and willingness to coach new team members
