Job Description – Product Development Member of Technical Staff II (R&D)

About the Role

AVEVA, a leader in industrial software, is seeking a Development Engineer to ensure the high quality of software product deliveries on the CONNECT cloud platform. This role is part of the Cloud Unified Engineering team within R&D Technology and Execution – Development.

The Development Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing and building necessary features for the Cloud Unified Engineering platform.
  • Implementing new user stories, writing unit tests, and addressing reported defects from the System Test and DevOps teams.
  • Identifying and improving existing unit test cases and test suites.
  • Reporting directly to the Development Manager in Hyderabad, India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new user stories and features.
  • Write unit tests and improve existing test cases and test suites.
  • Collaborate with System Test and DevOps teams to resolve reported issues.
  • Ensure high-quality software development and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Software Development with strong programming skills in C# and .NET.
  • Proven success with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Expertise in serverless architecture, microservices, APIs, and RESTful services.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS tools, APIs, and administration (or equivalent Azure experience).
  • Strong communication skills (written, spoken, and presentation), with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
