Job Description
Renesas is looking for a Verification Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for test planning, testcase creation, coverage closure, and gate-level simulation to ensure our products, applications, and systems function efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Contribute to RTL delivery for SoC/MCU projects.
✅ Collaborate with system architects to define implementable high-level specifications.
✅ Work closely with verification, DFT, validation, and physical design teams to ensure design quality.
✅ Build strong partnerships with R&D teams (Verification, Digital IP, Design Enablement, Emulation, and Validation) to achieve project milestones.
Qualifications & Skills
???? Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
???? Experience Level: 1 to 15 years in SoC Verification with hands-on knowledge of industry-standard EDA toolkits.
Technical Expertise:
???? Testbench design & development using UVM methodology for IP/Subsystem & SoC verification.
???? Strong knowledge of Microcontroller & Microprocessor architecture.
???? Proficiency in AHB/AXI/CHI, Memory (ROM, RAM, Flash, LPDDR5/5x), and memory controllers.
???? Expertise in Verilog, System Verilog, C/C++, Shell scripting.
???? Experience with Perl, TCL, or Python (a plus).
???? Deep understanding of Metric-Driven Verification, functional & code coverage.
???? Proficiency in directed & constrained random methodologies.
???? Knowledge of formal verification methodologies and assertions.
???? Experience in pre- and post-silicon debugging (simulation & bench testing).
Preferred Experience:
✔ Experience with complex multi-core SoCs, extensive interconnects, and peripherals.
✔ Familiarity with clocking, power management, debug, and security architectures.
✔ Additional experience in High-Speed Peripherals (DDR, PCIe, UCIe, Ethernet, GPU, VPU, NIC/FlexNOC interconnect, Flash memory subsystems) is a plus.
