Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in basic and detailed design, as well as project coordination for Infrastructure, Energy, and Manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical systems, physical design principles, and the ability to coordinate with multiple technical disciplines. Exposure to various international standards, including Indian, US, and European codes, is essential.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise engineering work within the electrical discipline on a global scale.
- Manage day-to-day tasks of discipline engineers, specialists, designers, and drafters.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for team members and provide career development guidance.
- Prepare and oversee discipline estimates, work plans, and schedules to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approvals on various phases of work.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and design documents.
- Ensure engineers receive on-the-job training to further their professional development.
- Foster a work environment based on directness, trust, communication, teamwork, and innovation.
- Perform electrical discipline work, including calculations, specifications, electrical layout plans, and systems design.
- Engage in Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), equipment design, system design, specifications preparation, and vendor reviews.
- Participate in the preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions, and design calculations.
- Collaborate in reviewing 3D Models using SPR, Autodesk Revit, or Navisworks, with key reviews at different project stages.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A recognized Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 14 years of relevant experience in the electrical engineering field.
- Site experience is an added advantage.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in electrical system studies using ETAP/EasyPower software, including calculations for short circuit, load flow, motor starting, voltage drop, and protection & metering diagrams.
- Knowledge of international codes & standards for electrical systems.
- Experience in equipment sizing, specifications, and technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment such as switchyards, transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and cables.
- Proficient in 3D Model Reviews using SPR, Autodesk Revit, or Navisworks, including stakeholder participation in model reviews at various stages.
- Experience in preparing single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, and electrical layouts.
- Ability to manage project schedules, staffing, and inter-discipline coordination.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with leadership and mentoring experience.
- Technical knowledge of engineering systems, construction methods, materials, and the application of CAD/CAE tools.
- Familiarity with project controls and major industry/regulatory standards.
