What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:
✅ Lead & Manage Engineering Teams
-
Oversee an engineering team to build, operate, and maintain Business Travel Technology solutions.
-
Focus on planning and project management with minimal hands-on technical implementation.
-
Ensure on-time delivery by facilitating sprint planning, daily standups, and process improvements.
✅ Collaborate & Strategize
-
Partner with product and design teams to understand requirements, solve business problems, and manage development from conceptualization to delivery.
-
Create and maintain accurate project schedules, driving tasks to completion.
-
Engage with leadership across multiple product and engineering areas to align on goals.
✅ Mentor & Foster Growth
-
Hire, mentor, coach, and retain a collaborative and high-performing engineering team.
-
Foster a culture of inclusivity, technical excellence, and ownership.
-
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and manage efforts within approved budgets.
✅ Ensure Technical Excellence
-
Conduct Quality Inspections, Architecture Reviews, Design Reviews, Code Reviews, and Security Reviews.

Establish and enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and best-in-class development methodologies.

Drive the implementation of scalable, cloud-native solutions using Java-based technologies.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
-
B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree.
-
10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years managing teams of 8+ people.
Technical Skills:
-
Expertise in Java-based technologies and microservices architecture.
-
Proficiency in cloud-native and distributed computing environments.

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including:
-
Coding standards
-
Code reviews
-
Source control management
-
Build processes
-
Testing and operations
-
Leadership & Collaboration:
-
Ability to lead technical designs and deliver scalable systems.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
