The ideal candidate will maintain an existing codebase, investigate and fix software problems, and contribute to software development and support.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyze new requirements, conduct impact analysis, and identify tasks for technical design.
- Design and code new software features and facilities.
- Communicate technical details affecting the fulfillment of requirements.
- Participate in iterative software development with responsiveness to feedback.
- Provide 3rd line application support, including bug fixes, as per agreed service levels.
- Maintain high standards of code within IT development and maintenance projects.
- Use static code analysis tools to write quality code.
- Troubleshoot and solve support issues as directed by the project manager and technical architect.
- Conduct code reviews for peers within the group.
- Adhere to design patterns (e.g., Factory, CQRS, Singleton, Repository).
- Follow the Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
- Document software and comment code as required.
- Ensure proper version control for all code.
- Comply with corporate test processes and ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
Education:
- First-class or above grade in BE/BTech/MCA or an equivalent degree from a UGC-accredited university.
Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.
Skills:
- Apache Struts 1/2: 3+ years.
- Java EE: 3+ years.
- Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, AWS RDS): 3+ years.
- JavaScript / JQuery: 2+ years.
- HTML, CSS (e.g., Bootstrap CSS): 2+ years.
- Git (SourceTree): 2+ years.
- Eclipse IDE: 1+ year.
- CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Github, Bitbucket): 1+ year.
- Testing Frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, Serenity): 1+ year.
- Package Managers (Maven, NuGet, NPM, Yarn): 1+ year.
- Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker): 1+ year.
- Client-side JS Frameworks (React, Knockout, Angular 2+/ VueJs): 1+ year.
