Job Description:
As a Site Reliability Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management division, you'll work at the forefront of technology, solving complex business problems with simple, scalable solutions. By leveraging your expertise in code and cloud infrastructure, you'll configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their infrastructure to improve existing systems iteratively.
You will contribute significantly to your team by ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of applications or platforms, focusing on end-to-end operations and building solutions that meet high standards for critical systems.
Job Responsibilities:

Guide and assist in building appropriate design levels and gaining consensus from peers.

Collaborate with teams to design and implement deployment approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.

Work with other engineers to design, develop, test, and implement availability, reliability, and scalability solutions.

Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications and platforms.
-
Collaborate with technical experts and key stakeholders to resolve complex problems.
-
Utilize Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users.

Support the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.

Hands-on experience with troubleshooting common technologies such as MSSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MQ, Kafka, etc.

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jules, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform.

Ability to automate solutions using common programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.

Strong communication skills, user-facing skills, and a positive attitude.

Hands-on experience with private and public cloud computing.

Knowledge of site reliability culture and principles, with the ability to implement site reliability within an application.

Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.

Experience in automation scripting and robotics tooling.

Practical experience with chaos engineering and resiliency testing.
