Job Summary:
The primary objective of this position is to work in coordination with Technical Leads on Analytical & Detection project assignments, focusing on Embedded Firmware Design and Development. Responsibilities include design reviews, functional testing, production support, and documentation to maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Understand and draft firmware application requirements for projects.
-
Work on Embedded Firmware projects as part of the Engineering & Design and Testing teams for new product development, quality improvement, and sustaining engineering.
-
Perform design and development activities, review and obtain approvals for project artifacts from Lead Engineers and Technical Leads.
-
Conduct design verification reviews and prepare project documentation.
-
Communicate project progress to collaborators periodically.
-
Coordinate firmware/software development activities.
-
Interact with design team members to optimize product design requirements.
-
Take on additional roles and responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering.

Experience: 5-8 years of embedded firmware development.

Technical Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of 8/16/32-bit Microcontrollers.
-
Proficiency in C, C++ programming.
-
Experience in device driver development for various Microcontrollers.
-
Knowledge of RTOS-based systems (e.g., UCOS, ThreadX, FreeRTOS, MQX).
-
Experience in industrial protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Modbus, Ethernet).
-
Hands-on experience with GUI development and protocol stack integration.
-
Familiarity with IDEs such as KEIL, IAR, Eclipse.
-
Advantageous: HART, Ethernet/IP, Fieldbus, Profibus.
-
Experience with JTAG debuggers, emulators, oscilloscopes, function generators.
-
Cybersecurity & SIS product development experience (IEC61508, IEC62443).
-
Experience with static code analysis tools (PC-Lint, MISRA-C Std).
-
Linux platform experience is a plus.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

STM32 series microcontroller experience is an advantage.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
-
Familiarity with Agile and traditional software development lifecycles.

Additional hands-on experience with debugging tools, cybersecurity standards, and Linux platforms.

Experience in STM32 microcontroller development.
