Role Overview

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will:
✅ Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues by collaborating across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools.
✅ Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and engage in continuous learning to enhance technical and professional skills.
✅ Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to improve Microsoft products and services.

???? Security Screening: This role requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Key Responsibilities

???? Response & Resolution

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported technical issues.
  • Work collaboratively with global teams and leverage best practices to deliver solutions.

???? Readiness & Knowledge Sharing

  • Lead or participate in peer learning communities.
  • Continuously develop technical proficiency through training and self-learning.

???? Product & Process Improvement

  • Identify and escalate product defects to improve Microsoft technologies.
  • Contribute to enhancing customer support processes.

Required Qualifications

???? Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field + 1 year of technical support, consulting, or IT experience.
  • OR 3+ years of technical support, consulting, or IT experience.
  • OR Equivalent relevant experience.

???? Language Proficiency

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Preferred Technical Skills

???? Experience in One or More of the Following Areas

  • Windows Installation & Management: Automated installation, OS upgrade, and troubleshooting (Windows 10, 2008, 2012, 2016).
  • User & Profile Management: Windows Activation, Licensing, and Group Policy.
  • Windows Update & Patching: Troubleshooting using CBS architecture & components.
  • Security & Encryption: BitLocker administration, MBAM setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Remote Desktop & Virtualization: RDP configuration, Hyper-V, Network Virtualization (SDN).
  • Networking & Performance: DNS, SMB, Kerberos, PKI, and performance troubleshooting using PerfMon.
  • Server Management & Backup: Resilient Storage, Windows Backup, VSS, Clustering.
  • Application Management: Installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
  • PowerShell Scripting for automation and system management.

???? Bonus: Experience with MDT, WDS, CSM, PerfMon, and advanced network analysis tools.
