Role Overview – MI Analyst

As an MI Analyst, you will play a key role in managing client reporting, data analysis, and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate data, developing MI solutions, and supporting business objectives through reporting and analytics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain client setup (Customer IDs, DKs, Reason Codes, etc.) in the Amex GBT MI database to ensure consistent global reporting.
  • Manage and prepare quarterly review reports, monthly & ad-hoc reports aligned with client specifications and deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy of all scorecards and assist in building presentations to drive internal business goals.
  • Analyze client needs and develop MI solutions to support strategic initiatives.
  • Act as the primary contact for MI-related queries, including reporting tool support, setup, maintenance, issue resolution, and consultation.
  • Support day-to-day operations to enable the team to focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in interactive initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation of new markets & services and overseeing MI, service delivery, and online processes.
  • Audit airfare checks requested by clients and ensure compliance with financial settlements.
  • Provide client program support by assisting with action plans, client meetings, and internal coordination.
  • Work with finance teams to manage monthly financial settlements and consolidate yearly account confirmation files.

What We’re Looking For

Graduate with 5-9 years of experience in the business travel industry.
Strong knowledge of business travel processes, including front office, mid-office, and back-office tools.
Experience managing multiple work streams, prioritizing client requests, and leveraging project management methodologies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to develop insights, validate data, and create recommendations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with attention to detail.
Ability to handle ambiguity and present data-driven results in a compelling manner.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solver with a resourceful approach and commitment to success.
