Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for handling Air Import and Export shipments, including documentation, cargo tracking, shipment monitoring, and quotations. This role requires ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
???? Shipment Coordination
-
Prepare import/export documentation, including Air Waybills, shipping labels, insurance coverage, and other necessary documents.
-
Distribute import documents to brokerage departments or customer brokers.
-
Notify customers/consignees of shipment arrivals and arrange for delivery.
???? Logistics & Operations
-
Coordinate pickup and delivery with trucking companies, airlines, and bonded facilities.
-
Advise clients on transportation methods and payments, including invoicing and record retention.
-
Prepare and negotiate freight quotations.
✅ Compliance & Security
-
Ensure adherence to Air Cargo Security Program (Transport Canada) and Partners in Protection (PIP) program (Canada Border Services Agency).
???? Customer Support

Provide prompt and accurate communication with customers.
???? Additional Responsibilities

Handle various other duties as required.
Qualifications & Competencies:
???? Experience:
-
2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or a similar logistics role.
???? Skills Required:
-
Excellent organization and time management skills.
-
Strong attention to detail.
-
Knowledge of international commerce (shipping, payment terms, customs regulations).
-
Understanding of GDP regulations (Good Distribution Practices).
-
Proficient data entry & MS Office skills (Word & Excel).
-
Ability to handle complex approval processes.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Flexible to work overtime when necessary.
???? Education & Certifications:

Minimum: College Diploma or equivalent experience.

Preferred Certifications:

IATA/ICAO Dangerous Goods Certification (an asset)

Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) Certificate (an asset)
