Role and Function Description
The Colleague Services (CS) organization within the Colleague Experience Group (CEG) at American Express plays a critical role in providing best-in-class services, capabilities, data, and insights that enable a great colleague experience. The CS organization manages CEG products, processes, platforms, applications, third-party partners, colleague insights and reporting, and colleague-related risk, compliance, and governance.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating test automations and managing testing activities across the Oracle Fusion HCM Platform, which supports core HR, payroll, and benefits experiences. You will coordinate testing for change requests, new product initiatives, and enhancements, ensuring end-to-end data flow validations and building an automation foundation for the Oracle regression suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution:
- Understand business requirements and create test scenarios and plans.
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles to achieve desired results.
- Test Automation:
- Develop and utilize test automations to accelerate testing effectiveness.
- Write automation scripts using Java/Selenium (or equivalent) for Oracle automation suite creation.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Follow up with key partners (both upstream and downstream) to ensure transaction accuracy and provide guidance on UAT intent.
- Validate downstream files with business/vendor teams and coordinate with technical teams for issue resolution.
- Load upstream files into HCM systems to confirm successful data integration and work with tech teams to address discrepancies.
- Cross-Functional Engagement:
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify testing requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues.
- Participate in regular business and process-related calls and meetings.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in Oracle Fusion HCM functionalities and related testing processes.
- Strong knowledge of Java/Selenium for automation script writing is mandatory.
- Clear understanding of HCM process flows and data integration is preferred.

Collaboration & Communication:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with business, technology, and various servicing groups.
- Flexible to work across multiple time zones (with overlapping EST hours preferred).

Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with MS applications, Planner, Airtable, Rally, and other cloud-based storage tools is an added advantage.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent).
- Prior experience in testing, particularly within Oracle HCM or similar ERP environments, is beneficial.
